We want the Alliance help people to help each other.
- Any Alliance member can make a ‘Support Request’ to all other Alliance members.
These are requests for support and help with things associated with the development of Citizen Directed Support. - In the early days of the Alliance these are likely to be things associated with setting up our Alliance, things like; organising meetings, and producing information.
- However as the Alliance develops these requests are going to come more and more from members working with different groups of citizens. They will become invitations to join in the development of new ideas and ways of working across Wales.
These Support Requests will be published widely to all Alliance members and other groups and agencies that can help.

Over time we will encourage Member Agencies to make an annual donation to the work of the Alliance.
- Supporting both large and small agencies to get involved, as well as promoting innovation may take not only commitment and time but a little money. We are interested in whether Member agencies are asked to make recommended annual donation of £500 for agencies and a recommended donation of £50 per year from small service user representation groups. Given the interest of agencies expressed in the Alliance this could generate shared funds of about £20,000 per annum to promote collaborative work, the use of this money would be accountable to all members by a system of open accounting.
Our Council will have a key role in helping our Alliance to work.
- The Council’s role would be to oversee these shared ways of working,
- They would arbitrate where necessary and suggest areas for collaboration were unexploited opportunities exist.
- They would also support members in working together to take forward the Alliance plan.
