What does Link Up Care do to support people in Wales?
Link Up Care is a Social Enterprise to support people with learning difficulties to have normal patterns of life. We work throughout the borough of Bridgend. Our Charity Every Link Counts supports and promote’s the ethos of citizen directed support, for all its customers and members.
What does Link Up Care want from the Alliance for it to be successful for them?
To keep us informed of any changes in policies or practices by WA, to become involved in promoting Citizen Directed Support. To meet other like minded organisations on how we can work together to collate information that can then be used as evidence for the need of different ways of supporting people to have greater control over their lives.
What can Link Up Care offer in terms of time, enthusiasm, expertise, and resources to supporting the development of Citizen Directed Support across Wales?
“We can offer 15 years of experience in working to support people with learning difficulties to access Direct Payments and ILF,
Two of our customers have moved into independent living using Direct Payments and ILF employing their own PA’s through Link Up Care.
Supporting two men with mental health and Aspergers to access Direct Payments, it is quite a battle !!!!!!!”
